Michelle Boyall Speech Pathology provides assessment and speech therapy for children aged 12 months to 12 years in the areas of communication, literacy and feeding.

We provide:

  • mobile services in Townsville (within approximately a 15-minute travel time of the CBD)

  • telehealth services for families throughout Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria

Communication

Speech. Language. Social Communication.

Support for:

  • speech sound development, from articulation errors to complex Speech Sound Disorders including Phonological Disorders and Childhood Apraxia of Speech

  • language delays or ‘late talking’

  • understanding and using spoken language, including Language Disorders

  • social communication, including autism

  • alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)

Literacy

Reading. Spelling. Written Expression.

Support with:

  • phonological awareness and pre-literacy skills

  • reading difficulties, including Specific Learning Disorder (Dyslexia)

  • evidence based literacy interventions, including Structured, Systematic Phonics programs and decodable readers

  • spelling

  • written expression, including writing sentences, narratives and texts for school

Feeding

Eating. Drinking. Mealtimes.

Support with:

  • building your child’s eating and drinking skills, including biting, chewing and drinking from a straw or cup

  • transitioning to solids and introducing new textures 

  • building your child’s confidence to try new foods and expanding the range of foods they eat, including ‘fussy’ or ‘picky’ eating

  • reducing mealtime stress

Telehealth

Telehealth is a convenient and effective way for families to access high-quality speech therapy services from the comfort of their own homes. Through secure videoconferencing, we can engage in interactive sessions, and provide individualised assessment and targeted therapy sessions to support your child’s communication, literacy and feeding. 

Telehealth eliminates geographical barriers, saves time on commuting, and allows for flexible scheduling of appointments. 

We provide telehealth services to children and their families throughout Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
